There is a super adorable stray cat that has been sleeping at my doorstep every night for about a week now. I spy on it through the window by my door, and the cat has not seen me. This morning I took out some dry cat food and a bowl of water. When it first saw me, it ran under my neighbor's car. I eventually got her to eat and drink, and after about 30 minutes, she was eating out of my hand and letting me pet her. She saw one of my neighbors walking their dog and she got spooked and ran away, but tonight she was back at my doorstep. What can I do to get her to trust me enough to pick her up and perhaps take her to a vet for shots? While petting her I found that she has been de-clawed, and I am scared for her running around outside with no defense. Also, she's probably really cold since it's winter time and I feel really bad that she has to stay outside. I think her previous owner moved away but left her here. Help!!!
