I REALLY want a pet cat. I've been collecting money for about 2 years now and so far have a bit more than $900. Trust me I've been doing TONNES research. I know how to litter train the cat, cut it's claws' groom it, put on a harness/collar, I know which is the best kind of food to give the cat etc. I've been going on the Petsmart website and have found all the products I would need for the cat and have calculated the price of everything. I would abviously get the cat from a Humane Society and have been reasearching ones in my area. I'm working on an essay about why we should get the cat, costs,things the cat would need etc. There's only one problem. My parents. My mom grew up having a pet dog so she hates cats. My dad says that they will stink up the house, ruin furniture and that I will get bored of it and make them do all the work. I'm turning 13 in April and hope to have finishes the essay so that I can present it to them and hopfully they see that I've worked hard for this. BTW Im 12. And please don't give me that whole "its your parents house so if they say no cat then no cat" because I just find that relly annoying.
