OK. So the question might sound strange but earlier today I gave my 3 month old Chihuahua water and she drank it so fast she bloated and my younger sister noticed it and picked her up (thank God). So later I Goggled what happened and then it said to take your pet to the vet immediately because it will have only a few hours to live and blah blah. At this point I'm freaking out because I can't afford to go to the vet and dead thinks freak me out. So luckily a few hours later the bloating went down and she is normal and energetic like always, she doesn't seem like she is in pain. I checked her abdominal area and the rest of her to make sure if there was in discomfort anywhere (there wasn't). So this is were my question comes in how can I give her water without her bloating and dying? Also how much water should I give her without her consuming air while she is getting water? I'm afraid she won't be so luck next time. P.S The reason she drank her water quickly is because we did not notice that she couldn't find her water bowl. Next time I'll put the water next to her food like it should be...Sorry if there is bad grammar OK so I gave her a little bit of water and she is starting to bloat again...
