I've got a winter hood for my horse that's padded and insulated, and I was thinking for the warmer months to maybe get a more lightweight hood or a manestay hood for a couple of reasons... My horse is a cremello, and I have a mesh fly mask to help protect her sensitive blue eyes from the sun. I also have a matching fly sheet to cover the rest of her body. Flys are bad here so it won't hurt and it will help keep her clean for shows and keep her from getting stained or sun bleached/yellowed. I also have a tailbag for her tip keep her tail white and clean. I was wondering what product would be best for protecting her neck from flys and would also keep her mane white? I've been looking at spandex manestay hoods but they seem so hard to size... I have tried asking some of my other horsey friends and since their horses aren't light coolored or show horses they don't bother with such items... Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations or reviews of such items? THANKS!
