my 3 year old cat, Karma, has had a bad case of hair loss and scabs over the course of a few months. we had originally found out that she and the 3 other cats in our house had caught some skin mites, and treated them and the household (we took her to the vet when this happened, and the vet was inconclusive. took a skin sample, and said she didn't find anything. ridiculous.) everything seemed to improve from there, and Karma's scabs were going away and her hair was returning. but now her hair is falling out three+ times faster and she has many open sores and scabs! it seems to be getting worse and worse every day and I feel like I've completely ruled out mites, ringworm and fleas because none of the other cats (or humans!) are affected. I would like to take her to the vet again, but I'm concerned since the first vet charged us 200$ and we didn't even receive a conclusive answer. we're broke and can't really afford that kind of money again unless we're 100% certain that the vet CAN and WILL fix this problem. if there is anything I can do from home, I would like to try that first before doing another vet visit. so I'd really appreciate any advice. :c
