My dog is having problems -.- (Anxiety)?

So my dog is a dachshund (wiener dog) and he is almost a year old (in February of 2014) however he is in his terrible two stage he has bitten my shoes {even my favorite heels )':} my clothes, my moms shoes, necklaces, batteries (i caught him before it was too late though) blankets, teddy bears, brushes, and pretty much anything his little teeth can get a hold of! (Today we found out he got my moms empty perscription bottle and chewed it out) He has been a nightmare and I don't want to give him away because he is really smart but I don't know why he keeps doing this! We had another dachshund before him but he passed away and he didn't have this problem. Patrick (the dog I have now) and Schnitzel (My other dog that passed away) are half brothers and they come from the same breeder so I don't think theirs anything wrong with his past. Also we live in a condo and we aren't allowed to have pets but we bought him before we moved here and we didn't have the heart to give him away so we bought a crate for him and he is a nightmare with that thing. He does not like it one bit. At first be bought one of those plastic ones and he bit a giant hole through it and got out. So we bought him a metal one and anything by him he will stick his head out of the crate and bite it and take it in the crate and chew it up. He HATES his crate and my dad works, my mom works, I have to go to school and so does my brother. My dog has destroyed the carpet and the blinds also. He is costing a ton of $$$. Which we really don't have. And we don't wanna give him away so Does anyone know how to get your dog to like his crate and not destroy things? If you know that would be soooo helpful! Thanks!
