Question: Why on earth does my dog bark at my 5 month old baby?

First off let me say my dog loves loves loves me. He used to always sleep with Me every night until my baby came along. After that I had to kick him out lol. I don't really let my dog sniff my baby's things because I don't want that dog smell on my baby's things. So I have recently tried to let my dog smell my baby. Well I let him get her scent when I first brought her home but not too much. But now I'm letting my baby pet my dog. She likes to stick her hand out and let him lick her and she also likes to stroke his fur its so cute. My dog licks her or whatever then he starts growling and barking. Is this jealous behavior ? What makes a dog lick a baby then bark. Also when my baby tried to pet him he kind of jumps back like my baby could really hurt him 😒
