I have a male and female gerbils. Both of them albino. They recently had a litter of 5. 3 males and two females. One of the females turned out a light grey while the rest are all white. I did have the female in with the white male and a grey male. She chose the white male to mate with. So I seperated those two. No worries as I bought another male to keep the gray company. Is it possible that the two whites can create a grey or could the grey male had gotten to the female first? Also she just had a brand new litter a week ago and all of them look white. There is 5.... 3 male and 2 female again. Could the grey female from the last litter be a dormant gene and the new litter just happen to be all white? Or could the grey male have gotten to the female? Please help I been searching for the right answer...... thank you so much!
