My two cats have just turned a year old. In the summer they started to go out and everything was fine. Now, there are 2 older cats that sit in our garden preventing mine from going out. However, most evenings (and possibly during the day) one of the cats come in and fight my cats. Every night there is an extremely high pitched screech and when I get up the cat get out incredibly quickly, and my cats are clearly distressed. I dont believe in animal cruelty at all but I'm feel like I need to do something for them before they get too scared to go out full stop. I'm tempted to lock the cat flap one way so the cat can get in but not out. From there I can just make it realise that it shouldn't be coming into my cats territory. I don't want to harm it but I feel I must do something to help my cats out. All suggestions welcome but I won't accept 'its nature' or 'thats cruel' or 'I should ignore it'.
