dog has an arural hematoma ear infection malnourished and is getting hyperpnea?

so heres the story please help!!! my girlfriend has a 9 year old lab pit mix who she let 2 family friends foster (because her parents are going through a divorce and they did have a place to stay) but it turned out the couple were unfit to foster her dog and cat after an argument between her and them and so we had to rescue the 2 animals the cat who was thrown outside in -14 degree weather and was found in a cold water filled tarp is recovering nicely but her dog showed major signs of malnourishment dehydration and an aural hematoma which the blood vessel had popped and the outer and inner skin had become infected a regular ear infection and a bump on the head:( we took poor "Moose" too the vet where he was diagnosed with the hematoma and ear infection and was given a painkiller and antibiotic and a drop for the ear but he is also starting to show signs of hyperpnea (shortness of breath). Please help us we don't know whats wrong with him now and are extremely worried for his health!!! :(
