Help! Advice/knowledge about Golden Retrievers?!!!!?

I am leaning towards getting a golden retriever but I want to know a few things, can they bond specifically to one person? I know they are loving and friendly but I want a dog that won't leave my side and wants to be with me constantly. Are they like that? I am struggling with depression and really need a dog to comfort me. I will be doing all the training and I will be the sole owner. I also have siblings that are 12 and 17 and my parents. Any golden owners or anyone please please answer! thank you :) :) :)
