African grey parrot can't fly!!? I recently bought an African grey parrot, he is approx 2-3 years old. The previous family had him from a baby and always had how wings clipped, they never really did much with him so he started biting. So he didn't get clipped for a year or come out cage as no1 could handle him. We purchased him around 7 weeks ago, we let him settle in for the first 2 weeks not disturbing him or stressing him out. Then me and my partner started going to the cage together talking to him and giving him treats. After 2 weeks of this we could stroke him through the bars with very occasional bites. Then progressed to inside the cage and letting him climb the outside of the cage also for an hour each day. by week 5 we could stroke him when ever we wanted. Week 6/7 he started to fly just a couple of feet b4 hitting the ground but each attempt got further, now he can fly the full room but he can not land or turn properly. Should we let him continue? Or get him clipped
