I literally just got my kitten today after she had been spayed( wish the shelter would've let me get her when she was healed) and I had been trying to stop her from licking her wound. (It was glued apparently). I tried putting her to sleep to calm her and stop her from being active it worked but I guess during the time we both took a nap, she licked her wound without me noticing. Now earlier, I was worried because it was sort of open... now it's all the way open like...a hole in her stomach. I don't know what to do. My mom said wait till the morning to see the changes, and well there's a f-cking whole in my kitten's stomach. The shelter said we had 10 days to take her to a vet so it would be free and before that, it was at our own cost. I honestly don't know what to do. My mom is gone off to work and I sent her voicemail because I need to know what to do to prevent it from getting infected before we reach the vet. Can any of you tell me some overnight treatment I can do to prevent any serious outcomes. I thought of wetting a towel with perioxde on it but I dunno know if that's safe for her. She is 5 months and I just got her today. I really feel like my mom will blame for this at this point but I just want her to be safe. I can't believe I get this huge responsbility and I already went and f-cked it up on the first day. Please help. I cannont rush her to the vet a 12am with no car and no adult. So what can I do till the morning.
