What Could've Happened to My Dog?

(Sorry long story) I have two dogs, 1 (batman) is a fluffy, tiny black terrier mix and he never usually comes when called, he always finds a way to run out the house and around the neighborhood but comes back in about an hour or 2. The other (cyran) is a really big, neutered, black labrador/ pit bull mix and he's kinda fat, really smart, always comes when called, a really good dog I was babysitting my 2 year old niece and was in the kitchen cooking at about 2:00pm she was playing with the front doorknob and it was really windy and cold out today so im assuming the strong winds pushed the door open and both of my dogs just like jet out the door super fast. I ran out as fast as i could to see what direction they were going in. I hurried inside, grabbed their leashes and my niece and we went looking for them in the wind and rain i saw my little dog batman running around as usual and i knew he would come back home but i was concerned about Cyran because he always comes when called But this time he didn't, i saw no sign of him and didn't hear him at all so i took my niece back in, put her to sleep and went back out to look for him again. I looked EVERYWHERE and still nothing. This is so devastating. It's almost like he just disappeared in thin air. I asked neighbors if they've seen him and they haven't, i know he wasn't ran over, it seems crazy that someone would just take him so what would've happened to him? It's now 11pm and I still have no clue where my dog is and he's like a son to me:(
